Quero Toolbar 4.5 released - now with IE8 support

Hello,

Here is my xmas present for you: a new version of Quero with IE8 support and neat new features:


1 IE8 support added

2 You can now disable the ad blocker temporarily for the current domain (shortcut Ctrl+Ins or click on the recycle bin icon in the Quero box).

3 New option added: "Show Search Terms While Searching"

4 New OpenSearch template parameters added, which can be used to build queries depending on the current URL: Quero:url, Quero:hostname and Quero:domainname.

5 New keyboard shortcut added: Ctrl+L toggles between search and navigation mode

6 New Registry setting "Keys" of type DWORD added for disabling global keyboard shortcuts used by Quero. In order to turn Ctrl+Ins off, set the value to 0xFFFEFF.

7 Win9x: included newer version of UnicoWS.dll (1.1.3790)

8 Fixed: crash on certain Web pages if the ad blocker was turned on

Just small suggestion: highlighting some word on webpage -> right mouse button - Quero - any search engine -> webpage with search results opens in new tab = it doesn't make automatic focusing on new tab so I must click on tab to see it. Can you make it that Quero automatically focus on new opened tabs (in internet options under Tabs settings it is enabled and it works for explorer option "open in new tab" but when you use Quero right-mouse-button-option it doesn't function.

Hi medeni73, this is a setting in Quero > Options > Advanced > Open Cursor Search. There you can select to open the new tab in the foreground.

When installed, but turned off, it doesn't return back/forward functionality to command line or rt. click context menu on IE8.

Love how it blocks ads & flash selectively.
